Richard is an organ & piano teacher, teaching at Derosa, online and from home in Central Cambridge, to around 35-40 students of all ages and abilities across classical, pop and jazz styles. He also teaches music technology e.g. Sibelius, Logic, and prepares students for theory exams.
He first got the bug for music singing as a treble in the local church choir, and started learning piano then progressed to organ.
He has a great passion for music education and his lessons are carefully tailored to the individual needs of each student.
Richards broad range of experience means he offers a well rounded music lesson incorporating practice, theory, ear skills and even some singing to instill more confidence in his pupils.
Richard has over 20 years experience playing organ and piano for churches, worship bands, accompanying instrumentalists and singers, and directed small and large choirs in many churches around the UK.
His teachers included Kevin Bowyer (Manchester) and Gerard Brooks (London) with St. Giles International Organ School.
